In the hottest months of the summer it is not uncommon to see sweating faces slurping up steaming soups, partaking in the Korean custom of yiyeoul chiyeoul, or beating heat with heat. This winter, beat the cold with cold!

Santaspoon, a Christmas-themed café that keeps the holiday spirit alive all year round, offers wintery ice milk cakes in the shape of your favorite holiday characters. Dubbed the Santa, their signature dish is a unique twist on classic bingsu, and is offered in eight different flavors and styles, ranging from a yogurt shaved ice snowman to a chocolate ice reindeer, which features blueberry eyes, edible antlers, and a snout made of chocolate frozen yogurt. Along with shaved ice desserts, Santaspoon serves coffee, tea, and warm bread. You can even stop by to purchase some holiday decorations.

Entering the café is like being transported to the North Pole. The floor is white and glittering like snow and the décor is brightly colored and playful like Santa’s workshop. Every last detail, from the decorated trees to the candy cane-shaped pens used by the baristas adds to the cozy Christmas atmosphere.

Although quite perfect for the fall and winter seasons, Santaspoon never takes down its Christmas lights and is the perfect place for those who find themselves singing holiday tunes in the summer.
