Busan Citizens Park was established as a healing place, and remains one of the only ubiquitous parks in South Korea with its barrier-free atmosphere. The park hosts around 97 different species of flora and fauna and has five different themed attractions, including Memory, Culture, Pleasure, Nature and Participation.
The park is a place for all ages, with a history museum, ponds, fountains, a maze, children’s play equipment, running tracks, and cafes. The site was once an Imperial Japanese Army base and United States Army camp, but now has been developed into a beautiful shared area for foreigners and residents alike.
