Though March in Korea signifies cherry blossom festivals, the start of the university academic semester and the arrival of good weather, it also signifies gala season in Seoul. For years, organizations such as the Seoul International Women’s Association (SIWA), The Australia and New Zealand Association, Korea (ANZA Korea), and the British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK) have hosted annual galas to celebrate community and help charities around Seoul.
At 10 Magazine, we’ve compiled a list of three galas this spring, where you can dine, drink, and dance the night away.
For more than 50 years, Seoul’s International Women’s Association (SIWA) has been a community for women to create community and raise funding for charities around Korea.
The Seoul International Women’s Association (SIWA) will be hosting its annual fundraising gala on Saturday, April 7th at the Conrad Hotel on Yeouido Island. This year, the gala’s theme will be “Carnaval Do Brasil” and includes a cocktail reception, silent and live auctions, live entertainment and a four-course meal paired with fine wines.
The funds raised through “Carnaval Do Brasil” will support three charities: the Asia Community School, the Soyang Rainbow Children’s Home, and the Seongnam Shelter for Adolescents.

The British Chamber of Commerce in Korea (BCCK) will be hosting its annual Queen’s Birthday Dinner on Friday, May 18th at the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul.
The annual Queen’s Birthday Dinner this year will celebrate the Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 92nd birthday as well as Prince Harry’s upcoming wedding. Unlike other years, this year’s ball will diverge from its usual formal dress code and will adopt a no-tie policy in keeping with Prince Harry’s approach to life! A tux and suit will work, but no ties are permitted on the premises.
The Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel will be transformed to look like the ballroom of Windsor Castle on the night of the dinner, where Harry’s wedding will be held later this year. Events will commence at 6:30 pm and include a four-course meal, a silent and live auction, raffle, and entertainment.
- Individual ticket: 160,000KRW
